I know you’re not being funny, but this post makes me laugh. It reminds me of my friends who refer to their current husbands as their first husbands. Ha!

Anyway, back on task…

For me, it’s all semantics. I didn’t choose Claire. I chose to be a parent, and she’s what happened when we mixed our DNA and the circumstances were *just right.*

But, when it comes right down to it, I like to think she chose me.
