Daily Deal-Weekend Fun

Looking for something to do this weekend as a family?  Looks like we should be having some nice fall weather.  Here are a few ideas for inexpensive family fun this weekend:

Head out the the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge for the Refuge Roundup 2009 to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week and our Western Heritage on October 17th from 9am-3pm.  Music, western crafts and games, roping and wrangling lessons, archery, and bison tours and hayrides will all be available. Call ahead to make a reservation for the hayrides.

Reservations are required, but the event is free.  Call 303-289-0930 to reserve your spot.

Directions to the Refuge- Enter at 56th Ave. and Havana St.  Go 1.5 miles to the Visitor Center to check-in

This weekend may also be a great time to check out some of the local corn mazes and pumpkin patches.

The Pumpkin Festival at Botanic Gardens at Chatfield was changed to October 17th & 18th because of the bad weather last weekend. Click here for all the details.
