Featured Blogger: Aimee of Greeblemonkey
Mile High Mamas is proud to present our next Featured Blogger: Aimee of Greeblemonkey!
What is the name of your blog? How did you choose this name?
Greeblemonkey. “Greeble” and “Monkey” were the two nicknames of my son when he was in my belly. Greeble is a made up name that my husband thought just sounded fun. (It is!)
How did you get started blogging?
In 2005, I was looking for a creative outlet from my “real” job, and a way to document all the details of my son’s life. It’s evolved to way more than that, but that is where it started.
What platform do you use? (I.e. Blogger, WordPress, etc.)
Blogger + handcoding
What do you wish you had known when you started?
Oh, too many things to count! Lots of boundary issues, for sure!
What blogs do you most admire?
Pioneer Woman, Oh The Joys, Digital Photography School, Shutter Sisters, Rude Cactus
What is your best tip for moms who are new to social media?
Read read read! Try try try! There is no wrong, just get in there! And: it’s not about the numbers; it’s about the relationships.

Aimee, I LOVE your blog! I’ve been an avid reader of yours for a long time. I know it’s hard for people to not get caught up in the “numbers,” but it’s so true what you said about it really being about the relationships!
Awww, you are sweet JoAnn! And you are a perfect example of someone I am thrilled to have become friends with through my blog!
Hi Aimee – you are the reason I started my own blog and yours is one of the few I read almost every day. Love it! Love all the features you have and contests and you just make it all so fun.
Big fan of your blog, Aimee. And your photography! You are an inspiration to new bloggers like me.
Hi Aimee!!!
Great to learn more about you! Hope to see you in a few week!!
Wow, amazing pictures from Ireland. So jealous! I seriously need to take a photography class-I love it, just need a few tips! Great blog too!
I finally know the secret behind your name (I suppose I could have just asked).
Would love to know more about the boundary issues, since it feels like something that is constantly being worked out.
