Colorado is among the first set of 10 states to receive some flexibility from the requirements of No Child Left Behind, White House officials confirmed to The Denver Post this morning.
Colorado applied for the waiver last year, saying in the application they can better handle holding schools accountable from a state level.

Mile High Mamas is thrilled to team up with The Greatest Show On Earth®: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Zing Zang Zoom. We are giving away a family four-pack of tickets to opening night on Wednesday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The show will run at the Denver Coliseum September 30 – October 11, 2009. For specific times and to order tickets, please go here.

Zing Zang Zoom has added a new feature that will be sure to delight: The Animal Open House. Children of all ages can join this behind-the-scenes event beginning 90 minutes before designated performances of the circus – FREE to all ticket holders! The Animal Open House runs for one hour and ends 30 minutes before show time. Then, after the lights go down and the performance starts, you can see the animals you just met showcasing their power and poise in routines based on their natural behaviors.
