Those mountains make me sigh. Can’t remember the last time I saw mountains. Probably my 1999 trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Ten years!

Is it sad every time I read the word “Butte” in your post, I kept thinking of the “Nice Butte” bumper sticker scene from the animated movie Cars?

I shouldn’t be, but I continue to be shocked at how many great things there are to do in the beauty of the Rockies… and they are right at our doorstep!

I just spent a day in Winter Park/Fraser and it reminds me of what you’re sharing here. Wednesday nights is free movie night in the park. Thursdays are free concert night. The weekend was the Fat Tire Classic and the blue grass festival was/is there this summer also.

These ski towns have so much to offer in the summer and it’s a great inexpensive get-away for the whole family!
