Join Us For the BowlHer Denver Broadcast Party!

I bet you are getting sick of seeing the word Blog and Her put together right about now, right? Especially if you are not packing and planning for Chicago at this very moment?

Me too.

I decided not to go to BlogHer* for a myriad of reasons this year, not the least of which being the fact that I AM GOING TO IRELAND in two weeks. IRELAND PEOPLE. As much as I love all my blog buddies, kissing the Blarney Stone sounds a whole. lot. better. Ok. Hmmm. I *have* smooched quite a few of you… so that one might actually be a tossup.

But, the ladies behind the fun Tuesdays of #GNO on Twitter have helped me out of my misery. First, pop quiz: What’s #GNO??? It stands for Girls Night Out, and it happens every Tuesday night on Twitter. It’s loosely professionally based, and usually has a theme (for example, I co-hosted a photography-based #GNO a few weeks ago). But it’s not all work work work – as you can imagine with a name like #GNO – there is a lot of fun that comes along for the ride as well.

Let me tell you. Those ladies can not be stopped for ANYTHING. They planned this awesome bowling party for Chicago called BowlHer, and then decided us poor schleps who could not make it to the windy city shouldn’t lose out altogether! So, we are having regional parties in several cities, that will all be linked up over the airwaves of momTV, BlogTalkRadio, and – of course, Twitter. In fact, I am seriously thinking I need to send all Denver/Boulder ladies in attendance at BowlHer on little missions for me. Like, “Go take your photo with @citymama at tweet it for the Mile High City!” [I may need some suggestions in that area.]

Know what else I need?

Party-goers!

Go visit this handy EventBrite link to get your FREE ticket and come help us show what Denver and Boulder are famous for! The Mile High Club! Errr. I mean, awesome hospitality! Spouses and menfolk welcome, we don’t discriminate out here in the West.

6-8 p.m., JULY 25, 2009:

So come hang out. We’ll have some food and prizes, but most importantly – a little connection to those crazy kids in Chicago.

*Not familiar with BlogHer? It is one of the world’s biggest, baddest blogging communities for women. The annual conference will be held in Chicago. To get a taste of the fun, please join us at BowlHer Denver to meet local bloggers.

Oh, I really want to attend but I’ll be in Charleston SC on the 25th :-( Maybe next time?

  • Aimee says:

Jolene, wouldn’t that be fun!? We could just start throwing regional parties for all the big conferences we can’t get to. Love it. :)

I am so bummed that I’m missing BlogHer this year AND this party!! What a popular weekend…it’s jam-packed!!

I hope you have a fabulous time!!

  • Alison says:

I can’t make this either (we are finally moving into our new house that day). And I have yet to make any of these events nor have I written a blog post in over a month (so I don’t really deserve to go)…but I have to say I was really really excited when I thought this was a BOWLING event. I’ve loved bowling — all three times — that I’ve been and it would be a blast with a bunch of BlogHers! Maybe this fall? Pretty Please? I’ll even promise to make bowling themed cupcakes!

    Can’t wait for tonight!
