Take Ozone Aware’s Pledge to Chill with your Family This Summer

Take Ozone Aware’s Pledge to Chill with your Family This Summer

I don’t know about you but hot summer days make me sluggish.

That’s why Ozone Aware’s Pledge to Chill works perfectly for me. Their “non-movement” encourages people to pledge to do less on hot summer days.

We announced on Mile High Mamas last week that Ozone Aware was giving away 300 hundred free Denver Zoo passes for their Lions, Tigers and Air, Oh My! event on Thursday. Moms and kids came out in droves to hear Channel 2 Meteorologist Jason Boyer, see live animal demonstrations, munch on goodies and most importantly, to sign this simple pledge to:

*keep your car well maintained
*drive less, walk to lunch, run errands after work
*refuel my car after 5 p.m. and stop at the click
*mow after 5 p.m. on hot summer days
*stop at the click–don’t overfill gas tanks
*take the bus (or in my case my bike trailer) at least once a week
*avoid painting and staining projects in the heat of the day
*tightly cap solvents; store in a cool place.

By teaching our families to do these simple activities, we will help reduce ozone pollution. Please do your part and go to OzoneAware.org and sign their Pledge to Chill.

It’s one of those cases where less is [a whole lot] more.
