Win One of 20 Passes to the The Denver Art Museum’s Create Playdate

Submitted by on January 8, 2009 – 12:00 amNo Comment

Playdates have many redeeming qualities that include adult conversation for Mom and social interaction for Child. But my favorite aspect? My kids are exposed to new experiences that I do not have to clean up.

Mile High Mamas is teaming up with The Denver Art Museum to bring you the ultimate in smudge, squiggle and splatter at their brand new Create Playdates. Held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month, these playdates are catered to children ages 3 to 5. They feature artmaking, storytime and scavenger hunts in the galleries and are perfect for a mom flying solo or for an already established playgroup to come together.

Create Playdate schedule and themes are as follows:

January 14/February 11: Smudge
March 11/April 8: Squiggle
May 13: Splatter

Got preschool or kindergarten? Come anytime during the two-hour block. Got more time? I was delighted to discover The Denver Art Museum’s many free activities for young children. A favorite was the Family Backpacks that encourage your little rugrats to tromp through the galleries making art, playing games and piecing together puzzles with a different adventure every time you visit.

Mile High Mamas will be giving away goodies such as 25 admit-two passes to the pre-screening of Mall Cop on January 15th at Olde Town Arvada theatre.

Cost for the playdate is included with admission (children 5 and under are free).

The best news of all? We have 20 passes up for grabs for the Create Playdate on Wednesday, January 14. Simply email us at giveaways@milehighmamas.com with “The Denver Art Museum” in the subject line and please include your full name. Note: only enter this contest if you are available to attend. Contest deadline is Tuesday, January 13, 2008 at noon.
