October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Submitted by on October 4, 2008 – 12:43 amNo Comment

I am tickled pink–literally–by the great efforts of so many who donate to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. Our very own Julie Marsh is leading a contingency of Mile High Mamas and will be running tomorrow in the Susan B. Komen 5K and we wish her the best of luck!

The following are a few ways you can help make a difference during Breast Cancer Awareness Month:

Kimberly-Clark Corporation’s Viva Paper Towels and Huggies Baby Wipes are teaming up to donate up to $450,000 to breast cancer research and education and consumers can help by purchasing products. In addition, the breast cancer survival stories of Kimberly-Clark employees will be appearing on select packaging.

Understanding that breast cancer is a battle that cannot be contained to a certain month, the KN Karen Neuburger® lifestyle brand offers conscious consumers the ability to “Shop for the Cause” year-round at Karen Neuburger with the KN Pink Ribbon Signature Collection™. Actively aiding the effort to help the fight against Breast Cancer, KN will donate a minimum of $75,000 in 2008 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® from sales of KN pink ribbon products.

Adding to the already extensive array of Pink Ribbon Signature Collection products, including quilting fabrics ($7.99 per yard), quilting kits ($10.95 to $70.00) and stationery ($4.50 to $13.00), KN is introducing new 2008 limited edition Tickled Pink Pajamas ($72.00) created to celebrate survivors and supporters of the breast cancer cause. The Tickled Pink editions include a classic boyfriend-style pajama with a playful typography-inspired print acknowledging friends, family and loved ones as well as a set of sleepwear separates with solid aqua top and print pants. Each pajama gift set is embellished with a satin pink ribbon at the neckline. Coordinating pink chenille lounge socks are available for $15.00. Each Pink Ribbon Signature Collection™ product helps support the fight against breast cancer.

In addition to offering the KN Pink Ribbon Signature Collection year-round, the company continues to participate in and host events in communities across the country to support and raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

The new Tickled Pink pajamas are also available at Macy’s North, Dillard’s, Bon-Ton, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Herberger’s, Younkers, Parisian and Von Maur department stores nationwide. Visit the KN Shop for a Cause online at www.karenneuburger.com.
