February 8, 2012 – 8:00 am | 2 Comments

In this series of blogs, the “Kid Blenders,” I will be addressing our challenges, trying to blend our two families together. The names of the children will be changed to spare the easily embarrassed. And let me be upfront about this: I’m no clinical expert. I’m just a single mom trying to figure life out as I go. But knowing that there are around 14 million single parents out there…I’m guessing that I’m not alone in this venture.

Elitch Gardens Family Four-Pack Giveaway!

Submitted by on May 18, 2008 – 12:27 amNo Comment

Congratulations to Christina Carindale, winner or our $150 Target gift basket and 3 ‘Mo Divas tickets!

Since I am likely the only person in Denver who has never been to Elitch Gardens, perhaps I should keep our giveaway – a family four-pack of tickets – for myself! Of course, there is still the issue of my roller-coaster-phobic husband….

If you think you’ve been there, done that at Elitch, think again. The 2008 season has three major changes to please every member of the family.

1) Ghost Blasters. This new interactive family ride challenges your family to a frightfully fun shootout in the new interactive dark ride! Guests will make their way through Boocifer’s haunted mansion using a Boo-Blaster to extinguish ghosts along the way. Digital counters keep each player’s score, making this ride competitive fun for all ages – and different every time you ride.

2) Ten Free Summer Concerts for 2008. The Summer Concert Series takes the stage Saturday nights in June and July and the first Saturday in August showcasing stars like Billy Ray Cyrus, Randy Travis, Smash Mouth and many more. Shows start at 7 p.m in the newly renovated Elitch Arena. All concerts are FREE with park admission.

3) Admission and Parking Prices Reduced. In 2008, Elitch is lowering their main gate price $10, from $44.99 to $34.99. They are also reducing their parking price from $15 to $10.

Located in the heart of downtown Denver, Elitch Gardens offers two parks in one – a family theme park and the Island Kingdom Water Park as well as award-winning shows. With over 65 attractions, Elitch Gardens continues to be the top destination in a five-state region for family fun and entertainment. Season passes are on sale now at elitchgardens.com for as low as
$54.99. For park hours and more information, visit elitchgardens.com or call 303.595.4FUN.

We are pleased to offer a family four-pack of tickets! To enter, simply email us at giveaways@milehighmamas.com with “Elitch Gardens” in the subject line. Please include your mailing address. Contest deadline is May 24, 2008.
