Colorado Dragon Boat Festival Poster Contest
Got an aspiring Picasso in the family? Fame and fortune could be in their future!
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival (CDBF) is holding its first-ever 2008 Commemorative Festival Poster design competition. All are invited to participate in the competition, regardless of age, experience or technical skill.
The winning poster will be featured as part of the annual festival, which will be held July 26 -27, at Sloan’s Lake Park. Celebrating its 8th year, the CDBF is a free family-friendly festival highlighting Colorado’s rich Asian Pacific American heritage.
The winner of the CDBF poster design competition will be honored as the first-ever commemorative poster artist, and will see this design used for various collectible merchandise applications including home décor framed prints, festival t-shirts and marketing materials.
Oh, and did I mention fortune? Three winners will receive cash awards. The first place winner will receive $500, second place $300 and third place $200. The submission deadline is March 31st and winners will be announced on May 1st.
To enter is simple! All designs must include the following text copy: Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, July 26-27, 2008, Denver, Colorado. Entries must be submitted DIGITALLY in either JPG, TIF or PDF format. Along with the poster design, participants are to include their name, address, e-mail, phone number, a $10.00 entry fee (payable by check or money order to CDBF), personal artist statement and competition submission statement.
