September 3, 2010 – 7:00 am | No Comment

Dear Mama Drama:
My two year old is potty training and has moved into wearing “big girl panties.” I am freaked out about taking her out of the house because I’m afraid she’ll have an accident and will become too discouraged. How can I take her out and help her to be successful?

Thank Goodness It’s Friday! What will you be doing this weekend?

I know what I will be doing. Or rather, how I will be acting. The following conversation took place in the car after an accusation was made by Hunky Hubby.

Amber: Do you really think I’m bossy?

Jamie [diplomatically]: Only on Saturdays.

Amber: Hadley, do you think Mommy is bossy? SAY “NO!”

Hadley [emphatically]: NO!

Jamie: Does anyone else see the irony here?

:) It is good to wear the pants in the family!

  • Loralee says:

I see nothing wrong with making sure your point is clarified.

    :)

  • Angela says:

Who’s the Boss WAS my favorite show back in the day!

  • In addition to being bossy, I will also be hiking in the Gore Range this weekend. :-)

  • Kari says:

    Nope, no irony here!

As for our weekend plans, we will be enjoying these gorgeous temperatures and fall colors!

  • Lizzy says:

Hey, there is nothing wrong with helping people to pick the right answer. I often ask my hubby, “Does this dress look good on me, please just say yes.” It saves me so much time.

  • Lisa says:

If you check out my last week’s Wordless Wednesday, you’ll see why hiking will not be a part of our weekend.
I hope you’re feeling better despite your ‘weeds’ issues. Me, I will be in bed all weekend getting rid of my ‘whole head infection’, and pneumonia. Makes for a fun weekend, huh?

  • Tanya says:

Mike & I will be going to Minneapolis – just the two of us! I hope the weather will cooperate.

I constantly “help” Logan answer questions too :)

  • Ana says:

Who could ever accuse you of being bossy?? A little help in pointing people in the right direction, that’s all that was. lol!

  • wendy on Oahu says:

beach. That’s the plan. We haven’t been in a couple weeks and I’m losing my sweet tan.

  • serf 'rett says:

This makes me wonder what Jamie will be doing this weekend?
I hope Jamie has got The Boder in training to give him some support in the coming years!

  • serf 'rett says:

Perhaps Jamie’s searching for the irony thingy to press clothes this weekend???

  • The irony thing to press clothes? You mean the water bottle I use to spray them down? Hadley refers to that as our “iron.” Gotta teach ‘em young. :-)

  • elasticwaistbandlady says:

I can be bossy sometimes. I forbid my kids from watching Dukes Of Hazard reruns in the fear that they’ll start calling me Boss Hogg.

  • PGH says:

I think being bossy and being a mom go hand-in-hand. At least that’s how I justify it!

  • Jackie Jones says:

This weekend, we are hitting the fall festival in town. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on some of those fresh pumpkin pies!

  • Erin says:

I am going to RELAX! I have been sick all week and need to rest up!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  • Brian says:

The second I said “I do,” it was over for me. “Who’s the Boss” is my life story….

  • Monica says:

At least Brian has a clue! :-)

  • Natalie says:

    That’s funny!

We drove into Colorado Springs yesterday just to get away, other than that it was an uneventful weekend.
